Scholarship FAQ
1. Can I save my partially completed application form online and finish it later before the deadline?
Yes. KCSF has partnered with Kaleidoscope to offer a streamlined application process. After registering with a valid email address, you can save your progress and make edits until you submit your application.
2. What documentations do I need for the scholarship application?
A list of required documents can be found in the “How Do I Apply” tab under the “Scholarship” section on our website.
3. What do you accept as proof of registration?
We prefer a letter from your school registrar confirming your enrollment or confirmation of payment for tuition fees.
4. My school does not provide official transcripts in PDF form. Can my official transcripts be emailed directly to KCSF by the school?
We recommend ordering your official transcript in paper form, scanning them, and saving them as PDF files. We may request the original for verification purposes.
5. Do you require reference letters to be in a specific format?
There is no specific format required. You might want to provide your referees with information on the evaluation criteria available on the KCSF website to help them prepare their reference letters.
6. Can a reference letter be sent directly by the referee to KCSF?
It is strongly preferred that you collect reference letters from your referees and attach them as PDF files on the Online Application Form. If your referee must send the letter directly to KCSF, have them email it to scholarships@kcsf.ca and follow the instructions in the “How Do I Apply” tab under the “Scholarship” section on our website.
7. For the essay question, should I include all suggested topics or only those I feel strongly about?
Donald Choi Canada Award of Excellence: Write about one of the topics listed in the Donald Choi Essay question form.
