Board
KCSF is run entirely by an elected group of dedicated volunteers responsible for overseeing the organization’s operations, finances, and strategic direction. These individuals provide governance and guidance to the organization while ensuring that KCSF operates in accordance with its legal and ethical obligations, and overseeing its financial management.
Gala Leadership Committee
Scholarships & Bursaries Committee (SBC)
The Scholarships & Bursaries Committee consists of members of the Korean-Canadian community who evaluate applications to select scholarship recipients and organize the annual KCSF Scholarship Awards Ceremony. Each year, KCSF awards approximately $140,000 in total funds to support 30-40 post-secondary students, who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and dedication to community service (scholarships), and financial need (bursaries).
Gala Leadership Committee (GLC)
Since 2016, the Gala Leadership Committee has been the backbone of the successful Sol Galas—KCSF’s annual fundraiser gala celebrating KCSF scholars and leaders of the Korean-Canadian community. The Gala has now evolved as one of the most prestigious fundraisers in Canada for leadership development and professional networking in the Korean-Canadian community.
