How Do I Apply

1.       Complete the Online Application Form here.

KCSF has partnered with Kaleidoscope to offer a streamlined application process. After registering with a valid email address, you can save your progress and make changes to your application.

2.       Submit the Required Supporting Documents.

Students are strongly advised to carefully review the list of supporting documents, which must be attached as separate PDF files on the Online Application Form.

All parts of the application, including the essay, must be written in English. If any documents are not in English, a certified translation must be provided along with the original Korean version.

It is the applicant’s sole responsibility to ensure that all required documents are collected and submitted on time and to have all questions answered before the deadline. We strictly adhere to the application deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Supporting Documents:

a)       Proof of full-time registration at an accredited post-secondary school for the 2024-2025 academic year

b)      Official transcripts for the last two full academic years (2022-2023 and 2023-2024) from all former and current post-secondary schools or high schools, whether a degree was granted or not. Only official transcripts will be accepted for review. If you were not enrolled in school during 2022-2023 and/or 2023-2024, please provide transcripts for the most recent two full academic years. If you’re unsure, it is better to include transcripts from additional years to ensure evaluators have all necessary information. Applications with fewer than two full academic years of transcripts will not be reviewed.

c)       2-3 reference letters – A minimum of two reference letters are required. One reference letter must be from a professor or teacher. The second letter should ideally come from your place of employment or a volunteer/leadership organization.

Reference letters should be written by individuals who have direct knowledge of your character, abilities, attitude, potential, and future aspirations. Hard copies will not be accepted, and letters from family, friends, or relatives will not be considered.

Reference letters must be submitted in PDF format. You can either: (1) Directly upload the reference letter on the Online Application Form (preferred method), or (2) Have your referee send the reference letter directly to KCSF via email at scholarships@kcsf.ca , using the subject line: “Reference Letter for [Applicant First Name] [Applicant Last Name] – [School Name]” (e.g., “Reference Letter for John Kim – University of Toronto”). The PDF file of the reference letter should be titled “Reference Letter for [Applicant First Name] [Applicant Last Name] – [School Name], [Referee Last Name]” (e.g., “Reference Letter for John Kim – University of Toronto, Johnson”).

Please note that due to the high volume of applications, if the reference letter is not formatted correctly or if the applicant’s name does not match what is listed on the application, the letter may not be correctly attached to the corresponding application. KCSF will not be responsible for any reference letters that are lost due to these errors. If you choose to have the letter emailed, we will not notify you of receipt, so please confirm with your referee that their letter has been sent and received by KCSF by the deadline.
